I can’t even imaging the unsettling dread of going back to school while the Covid pandemic is still raging in our country. It seems home learning may be soon become a regular component of education for children of this generation.
I went to public school as a child and received some outside tutoring. One of my most memorable experiences was my grandfather William Mitnik quizzing me on multiplication tables at a young age. Well, old Bill didn’t stop there, nope he took me right through to division and soon I was calculating the area of his desk and other practical applications. When I returned to school that fall it took months before we were covering these subjects in class.
I want to take a moment to thank all the mentors, teachers, grand folk, uncles aunts, and anyone else who takes the time to educate and share knowledge and experiences that will assist and grow a young persons life. -Oliver Doriss
